Swim Challenge and Potluck

On behalf of the LCSC board and coaching staff we are excited to announce the LCSC 2023 Swim Challenge campaign. The goal this year is to raise $7,000 ($163/swimmer) which will be used to offset pool rental fees, purchase equipment and cover other ongoing expenses.

Our Swim Challenge will involve all swimmers and will be held on Friday March 31, 2023 between 4:00-6:00pm. Swimmers will have up to 2 hours to swim as many lengths as possible to a maximum of 200 lengths.  Each swimmer will need one helper to count their lengths and this is a great time to see how much your swimmer has accomplished over the season. Parents are often shocked at how far their swimmer swims during this event.  To help with fatigue swimmers will be able to use kicks boards and fins after a short time of swimming unaided. 

Each swimmer is required to raise $100.00 and this amount will be invoiced on March 15, 2023. It can be paid by etransfer to lcscpayments@gmail.com and please include Swim Challenge and the swimmer’s name in the notes section.   As this is a fundraiser, we are encouraging swimmers to reach out to their friends and family members for support. Sponsors can pledge a flat fee for participation or amount per length. As the swimmers have prepaid the first $100 fundraised amount (billed March 15), if they raise more than $100 for the initiative they may keep the first $100 and submit the remaining fundraised amount by April 11, 2023.

With only 42 swimmers in the club we are hoping swimmers will work hard to earn as many pledges as possible as every dollar is used to support the club and initiatives for these swimmers. To encourage participation, there will be two prizes for fundraising this year.

• Top male swimmer fundraiser amount - $50 Team Aquatics gift card

• Top female swimmer fundraiser amount - $50 Team Aquatics gift card

Fundraising prizes will be awarded after April 11, 2023 once all fundraised amounts have been tallied. Notification will be sent out to all members via email.

Please submit your pledges and monies no later than April 11, 2023
