Volunteer Terms

Volunteer Commitment 

As a volunteer organization, support from the membership is required to meet all the needs of the club throughout the season. Active parent participation, knowledge, and experience are the most valuable tool at the club's disposal. There are many opportunities to assist with events, fundraising, and regular club needs. 

Each family will be required to commit to providing $300 or minimum of 5 hours of volunteer commitment for the 2024-2025 season. The commitment must be completed by the end of the season (June) and any outstanding hours will be billed to the account at a prorated amount.   Each family will be required to provide at least 5 hours of volunteering throughout the season and volunteer opportunities will be posted for sign up on a regular basis under the events tab. Volunteer opportunities could include:

  • Manning the grill at hot dog sales
  • Driving a vehicle during a bottle drive
  • Completing grant application
  • Soliciting donations from sponsors
  • Holding a seat on the executive board
  • Setting up or taking down after events (swim challenge/potluck)
  • Officiating at a swim meet

To sign up for volunteer commitment opportunities declare your swimmer to participate in an activity under the event tab and sign up for a volunteer commitment opportunity (eg. driver or sorter at bottle drives, set up or take down at events, collecting merchandise, and other roles within the organization).  Each activity will identify how many points of volunteer time are connected and it's not specifically the amount of time the task will take to complete.  Normally it's one volunteer opportunity per family so we appreciate more hands supporting the work volunteer contribution points will be connected to one person only.
